Accessories & Adapters
Add-on parts for Montsinger keyboards:
Rotary Encoders hide under knobs, allowing control of volume and so much more. Rebound allows installation of one of these, an EC-11, specifically. They can also be pressed like a keyswitch. Knobs are available in black and silver.
OLED screens can be used to display information like what virtual layer your keyboard has activated. They can now be installed directly onto the Rebound PCB if using Montsinger Mainframe and forgoing the top middle switch.
Montsinger Mainframe is a custom microcontroller that mounts underneath the Rebound PCB. It uses ATmega32U4, DFU bootloader, has on-board reset switch, ESD protection and one RGB LED. It does not have a built-in USB port; installing a USB-C or JST port to the PCB is necessary if building Rebound-DIY.
The Pro Micro Adapter allows any controller with a Pro-Micro footprint to be mounted above the Rebound switchplate. This includes nice!nano (for wireless), a Pro Micro (They're everywhere!) or an Elite-C (They're great!)
The Legacy OLED Adapter allows an Elite-C and an OLED screen to be mounted above the Rebound switchplate. All adapters are fully hotswap — no soldering to PCB required.
The Through-Hole USB-C Port is needed for DIY Rebounds if routing to the standard 60% port position is desired. Mainframe is recommended, but Elite-C v4 can be handwired to use this port well.
The JST 4-Pin Connector allows Rebound to be used in 60% cases that require a universal daughterboard instead of having a cutout for a USB-C port. Rebound DIY PCB and Mainframe recommended.
